1) SNOWFLAKES ABOUND
Kirsten Powers told CNN’s Anderson Cooper that she had her own personal experience with O’Reilly, in which O’Reilly made remarks that many would have considered to be overtly sexist.
“I was thinking about an incident that had happened early on in my career there where I was on-air there with Margaret Hoover, who’s at CNN now, on a regular segment, we were on every Monday,” Powers said. “And he got Margaret’s name wrong, and Margaret said, ‘Hey, get my name right,’ and he said, ‘Oh, I’m sorry, there’s a lot of blondes in this operation, I can’t keep you all straight. Megyn Kelly’s coming up,’ starts throwing all these blondes’ names.”
“And at the end of the segment, says, ‘Thank you for your blondeness,’ to both of us,” Powers said. Video ...
BUT in 2014, Powers herself was a staunch defender of O’Reilly after former State Department deputy spokeswoman Marie Harf accused him of being sexist, even going so far as to pen a USA Today op-ed titled, “Bill O’Reilly is not sexist.”
“Sexism is a serious problem and a serious accusation. It’s true there are many people who dismiss women as unserious and out of their depth not because they are, but because they are women. Bill O’Reilly isn’t one of them,” she wrote in September 2014.
“I know. As a Fox News contributor, I’ve worked with him for eight years, including weekly segments where we often disagree heatedly. O’Reilly does not discriminate when it comes to expressing tough judgments. Anyone with a passing familiarity with his work knows this, which is what makes Harf’s accusation so irresponsible.” Powers wrote.
Powers clearly stated that O’Reilly’s character was being assassinated because of “trigger happy” Democrats who purposely look for sexism in everything.
"Anthony Weiner’s former girlfriend Kirsten Powers defended him on TV to millions of people after he insisted to her that he didn’t send lewd photos on Twitter. BUT now she takes him to task for his rampant misogyny—and says he must resign immediately. 06.08.11 7:53 PM ET"
For reasons I've never understood - BOR is a hero for a lot of you - someone close very to me once said - all I want to do is win the lottery, buy a boat, play video games and hang around the house all day like Bill OReilly. I have construed you're all enamored of his swagger and imperturbability. He was a terrible jerk in many ways. His conduct often indefensible - morally unacceptable. Don't shake that off - don't give it shade. Sharpen up - you need to understand this:
A lot of what happened to BOR - justice overdue. A lot of it BS - like the above. What's in play is weaponized sexual harassment and discrimination tools supplied to mostly incompetent women. Powers describes a feeble attempt by a 70-yr-old man to be funny hip whatever. The pattern of these women - they're everywhere - including the mily - they use their bodies to get the hire - a walk down the aisle - a part in a movie - a lucrative position ... etc. They're accosted in some form - but don't report it once they're on the fast track - so as not to disrupt their career path - "I was afraid I'd get fired". Then when the bastard is outed - they jump on the bandwagon - past harassment all of a sudden matters to them.
Fox paid out millions of dollars to women who complained about BOR - now women are chiming in for $$$ from Fox. That doesn't dis-implicate BOR. Apparently there was some real treachery mistreatment harassment - possibly worse and more. The women are the enablers - there's tons of laws for these scenarios - did Fox have an HR dept? They should have gone there immediately - but didn't - because they had their eyes on their personal prize - not personal integrity or self-respect. IOW, there's plenty of blame to go around.
Two seemingly valid lawsuits by unemployed ex-Fox employees (before it was fashionable).
TANTAROS “Fox News masquerades as a defender of traditional family values, but behind the scenes, it operates like a sex-fueled, Playboy Mansion-like cult, steeped in intimidation, indecency, and misogyny,” Tantaros states in her lawsuit.
CARLSON "The suit also lists a series of sexually charged comments allegedly made by Ailes to Carlson about her physical appearance and suggestions that her standing at Fox News would be better if she had a sexual relationship with him."
2) I received many emails with these images - thought they were photoshops ... not.
Kelly - because you have a show at 9 pm doesn't mean you're ready for prime time. There are plenty of barbie doll blondes doing what you do - walking the halls of Fox everyday. Instead of accusing republicans of waging a war on women - worry about the damage you did to the female brand last night. The professional women I know don't sacrifice their bona fides to move up the ladder - and don't play the fury of the victim scorned card to beat the big boys. All you did last night was prove the catty shrill bitch stereotype is alive and well - and the casting couch still holds forth for ambitious women - even if it sometimes looks like a debate panel. The wind blows for free. How much do you charge? more @ buddy's ... 08.07.15 debate.
Just going to leave these here so you can discuss among yourselves what's actually going on ...
She knows what she's doing.
We know what she's doing.
She knows that we know
That is why she's doing it.
When a woman is that good looking and KNOWS it
And FLAUNTS it
That is someone to avoid.
Now maybe she is a very nice person,
but anyone who is that good at playing games,
(and she is playing games)
Is someone to be cautious of.
Nobody is THAT GOOD at playing games, without a lot of "practice".
My Contribution to the discussion: I posted Mountain Man's Wisdom above - it's a hard row for me to be objective. I work with all men - constantly aware of the POWER I have - to get my way - to impact the team - to change minds to my way of thinking. I've never considered it anyone's responsibility but mine not to misuse my feminine goods. I don't mostly but there have been times ...
And - when the line was crossed beyond what I could/would tolerate - I put it on that line - and resigned unless certain conditions were met - none of them having to do with money. I'm still here.
George Carlin - some dead comedian - quoted a lot on Twitter - says men are stupid and women are crazy AND it's the men being stupid that makes women crazy AND it's the women's craziness that keeps men from smartening up (paraphrase) ... that about sums it up.
What Powers described is normal f/m banter in my work and other spaces ...
Labeling it harassment mocks - minimizes - the horrible sexual harassment occuring in work and other places throughout the globe.
Just like calling the weaponized tantrums the left are throwing in public "The Resistance". I - we - know Resistance - what it feels like - tastes like - the price it extracts - the lives it destroys.
Words have lost meaning - thanking someone for their blondeness is now harassment. Actually I think BOR was thanking them for this blondeness:
Accepted rectitude: women can dress anyway they want; truth: dressing a certain way sends a message which a whole lot of men interpret as a signal.
And I'm not talking about rape or violent empowerment.
You all are to talk about the message these women are sending - what it means for them and the men they work with ...
Because I've known - worked with - brilliant men - high circles - research medicine military yada yada - they - even they - mostly do not think first with their brains. So it seems - at least to me - that's a fact of biological life which needs to be acknowledged.
If men are expected to talk - conduct themselves in ways so as not to harass women - women should be expected to dress talk and conduct themselves in ways that do not hijack male neural pathways and redirect them to their physical excitatory system (hahaha - a little med humor).
So that's your outline: Men are who they are - I happen to love them nearly all - bulked up bears or not - and navigate understanding what keeps them calm - and not. It's a 2-way street. Women take note.
Dear Mr. President - It's not okay with me - or lots of others who voted for you.
4) Soon ...
5) All this 100 day talk - President Trump's administration needn't respond or care about some imposed deadline - whether by the President - or others. Statistically a speck. The best yet to come. I am perfectly content with what he's done so far - don't know anyone who isn't - and I know LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of people who voted for Trump. They do have to let the fat kid in NK save face though if certain scenarios ensue.
someone sent me this - not sure - from maybe ZH:
Yeah I really dont think they will arrest Assange because they simply cant. Anyone who understands why Assange is in the Ecuadorian Embassy knows the US cant touch him. Obviously Trump understands this as well. Trump has been placating the left ever since the Syrian CW 'attack'. Many here can't seem to understand the difference between flip flops and playing the Libtard media and their citizen flunkies like a fiddle. People here need to understand that Trump has many, many people to keep at bay on many different levels and subjects. Trump is literally in the most difficult and complicated position of anyone in the world and probably in the top 5 out of anyone that has lived in the last 100 years. Take a step back and slow your thoughts and assumptions down. Armchair Presidents in shitstorms like these - gotta love em.
6) First, it goes like this: Je suis avec Le Pen. I've developed a list of Francos in their country who'll translate your memes. They must be worthy - will go through QC first - submission station at the portal by the 24th, late. I will try and do the more complicated ones so as not to take advantage - some are my friends but not all. I haven't caught a vibe yet about whether she'll win - but a ways to go.
7) BOR on a podcast on Monday @1900. App now available I think. They're going after Sean it seems now. This was done by a cabal of bots. Apparently Rush spoke about it years ago when they came after him ... my question: why don't conservatives etc have their own cabal? CNN is going to court re racial discrimination - excellent opportunity - will conservatives be ready? Not. Will they have a cabal of bots ready? Not.
Conservative media filled with megalomanical niche spinners - because they're the minority - constant survival mode. Survival mode doesn't win battles or wars. Survival mode survives nothing more. IF IF IF IF there ever was a time for all the rich republicans et al to come together and start a cable platform to immediately compete ... it is now. Will they? Not.
IMHO: Tucker will not thrive @2000 nor The five @ 2100. Eight o'clock a sort of sacred - at least traditional hour. Day is ending - a touch of the avuncular goes goodly.
Speaking of cabals - why in the heck is Media Matters still operating? Haven't they broken and violated so many 501-C laws - or whatever they're called.
YOU WIN THE WAR BY - HAVING A VISION - ATTACKING - BEING COURAGEOUS - CARING NOT THE COST. HAS ALWAYS BEEN - EVER WILL BE - THE ONLY WAY.
8) Sort of worrisome Anti First Amendment stuff fyi:
9) Okay - we've been going - to a therapy group for the team - over 2-1/2 years now. It was supposed to be a 7-month protocol with 5 POCs (points of coverage). First POC was opening up and expressing what's going on inside. We are still on POC #1. So my current homework - is to write something POC1 related - and I decided to do that here - next time, maybe.
10) I wouldn't worry about special people - I certainly wouldn't consider them as "troops on the ground'' - in Syria. You forget - these guys don't feel useful if they're not operating in 120-degree heat - hauling hexagonal ass - taking money shots - and dodging _____ (fitb). However, I'll tell you now if President Trump sends boots on the ground to Syria - anywhere ME - any semi-significant number - I'll start looking for a 2020 candidate. Everyone has a red line. That's mine. Most of you know, I hate - hate hate hate the military - nuff said.
High-value target disappointed to be raided by Rangers instead of Navy SEALs
AFGHANISTAN — Taliban operative and avid Navy SEAL fan Mansour Aminullah says he was disappointed when a raid on his house was conducted by “some pansies from the Ranger Regiment” instead of SEALs, sources confirmed today.
Aminullah, who has countless books and films on the elite naval special operations forces, says being raided by a bunch of guys he had never heard of was a big let down.
Aminullah says he prepared for the raid for months, making “welcome” signs for all of his favorite SEAL operators. At the very least, he says, he was hoping to get his copy of No Easy Day signed by someone he had seen on Fox News.
“It’s bullshit. SEALs raided my brother’s and cousin’s houses just last month,” he said. “They’re probably gonna write books about that shit. And seriously, my mother could graduate from Ranger School with a cloth over her eyes — which there is at all times — because she would be beaten otherwise.”
“I happened to have a Black Hawk Down VHS on me, so my Rangers and I led the way into his living room to watch it and see if he would come around,” said Capt. Nick Scott, the raid force commander. “He liked Josh Hartnett’s acting, but I think we both agreed that Bradley Cooper put in more gym time for American Sniper.”
While Aminullah did not have any Army books for the Rangers to autograph, he and Scott agreed to collaborate on an upcoming article for Infantry magazine.
What you've all been waiting for: Air Force to allow average looking, uncool people to become fighter pilots.
SEMPER FI, BABIES!!!
